This project is a series of early ideation sketches created for an upcoming mobile game level inspired by abandoned quarry environments. The focus was on designing a playable space that balances verticality, traversal, and player guidance within a compact layout.
The level explores multiple navigation paths using wooden walkways, elevation shifts, rope swings, and crane-based interactions to create moment-to-moment gameplay variety. I experimented with clear visual cues like pathway markings and structural silhouettes to subtly guide player movement without breaking immersion.
The process includes rough line explorations, value studies, and a refined paint-over to establish mood, lighting, and environmental storytelling. The goal was to build a space that feels grounded, functional, and visually readable while still offering opportunities for engaging level mechanics.
Created using a mix of digital sketching and paint-over techniques.
